Interview with Tania Doko from Bachelor Girl

When Bachelor Girl produced their first multi platinum album "Waiting For The Day" it launched them as a major act on the Australian music scene.

An interview with Mary Doumany

Mary Doumany is truly one of the most original singers and instrumentalists of our generation. Her voice has an intimacy and fluidity that seems effortless. We got very lucky indeed when Mary agreed to do this interview. She arrived with her harp and performed an original song live in our studio. You can hear 'Heart Of A King' in part 3.

As a virtuoso instrumentalist in her own right on the classical harp Mary started very young with the intention of making it her career. Indeed she did as she has held principal postions with the Australian Opera, all the Australian orchestras, performed Swan Lake with the Royal English Ballet Saddler's Wells and many other concert engagements.

Most people would think they had done pretty well to have achieved all that but Mary found she was driven to sing. In this 2 - part interview she tells some wonderful stories how it all came about, her first attempt at singing with a band and how she went on to form and record two albums with one of the most unusual and innovative bands you will ever hear - "The Lovers".

Australian audiences would have seen and heard Greg play on the prime time tv show IMT ( In Melbourne Tonight), The Midday Show,The Logies, and Good Morning Australia. As well as performing with Tom Burlinson,Thelma Housten,Shirley Bassey,Al Martino and Renee Geyer Greg has done more than his fair share of studio session gigs - like dog food commercials !

In this intimate 3- part interview he reveals how closely related the job of mastering the saxophone is to developing the human voice. All parts are about 7 minutes in length, enjoy!

The Voice Of The Sax - An interview with Greg Clarkson

Few musicians get to be as accomplished as Greg Clarkson on their chosen instrument. As one of Australia's most exceptional sax players he has been in constant demand for all the high profile tv shows and touring acts. Now part of the amazing 3 piece band 'Late For Breakfast'.

In this exceptional 2- part presentation she reveals some of the simple causes of singing out of key. You may not even know you are doing it. She talks about how the singing voice is really a natural instrument that almost anyone can master and dispels one of the most enduring myths of all - tone deafness. Do you actually listen to the various instrumental parts of a song? Are you aware of what the bass parts are, what the melody and chord intruments are playing? In part 1 Kate tells you why this is so very important.

In Part 2 Kate talks about the important differences between male and female voices and how simply understanding the role of head voice and chest voice can help you discover what your proper range is. This knowledge alone will be worth the listen.
